Window World was introduced to us by Toni’s brother and his wife, David & Angie Carter, the owners of Window World of Springfield, MO. David knew we would be retiring from Ford Motor Company, and wanted for us to become as successful with the Window World family as he and Angie had.

Jim retired after 35 years with Ford and I retired with 30 years of service. Jim has always worked on houses and construction simultaneously with Ford. Installing windows was not new to Jim, so we had a bit of an advantage starting out.

We lived in Missouri and wanted to move out West. Coincidentally, Phoenix was available and we loved the weather. We moved to Arizona and opened Window World of Phoenix around October 2006. Vinyl windows are new to the west so it is taking a little longer to spread the word about our products and the quality. We keep in close contact with other western stores: Albuquerque, Sacramento, San Diego, the new store in Las Vegas, and of course all of the other stores as well. In the West, we have different applications than the East; but we are lucky enough to have Gary Hofmann as our representative to help us over the rough spots. It’s so nice to be part of a huge family such as Window World. It is so comforting to know that we can pick up a phone and call any of the other stores for advice or answers.
